Get to Know Your Characters with Beautiful People by Paperfury.com and Furtherupfurtherin.net

Beautiful People is a writing blog meme that is hosted by Cait at Paperfury and Sky at FurtherUpFurtherIn! Each month they post questions for writers to answer about your characters, or in this case, your book!

Overall, how is your mental state, and how is your novel going?
A jumble! My mind keeps veering to the next chapter, since I know where this one is leading.

What’s your first sentence (or paragraph)?
“Cool ring,” Nova pointed at Kara’s hand. He’s only noticing now? I’ve had it all week. “Wow, wait a moment,” he stopped her from walking by and grabbed her hand, “Isn’t that the ring finger? Like the one that says I’m engaged, or married?”

Who’s your current favourite character in your novel?
You can’t make me choose between Kara and Oliver!

What do you love about your novel so far?
Nova’s reaction. I’ve only just started this story.

Have you made any hilarious typos or other mistakes?
Probably, but I don’t remember them.

What is your favourite to write: beginning, middle, or end — and why?
The end, since I’m always thinking about it. What leads to it is always a little fuzzy.

What are your writing habits? Is there a specific snack you eat? Do you listen to music? What time of day do you write best? Feel free to show us a picture of your writing space!
Write everyday, even if it’s only a little bit. I always write at night while I’m watching tv.

How private are you about your novel while you’re writing? Do you need a cheer squad or do you work alone (like, ahem, Batman)?
Work alone. Most of the time anyways.

What keeps you writing even when it’s hard?
The stories keep trying to play in my head, might as well write’em down.

What are your top 3 pieces of writing advice?
Write everyday.
There are no exact rules.
Inspiration comes in many forms.

Hope you enjoyed learning more about my writings. Did you do beautiful people this month? Head over to check out more Beautiful Books answers.
